I offer four different weekly yoga classes to suit everybody's needs. The classes are based on Vinyasa Flow Yoga, which is a style of Hatha Yoga. Yin Yoga, or Healing Restorative Yoga, which works on releasing deeper tension in the connective tissue.

The Vinyasa Flow and the Gentle Flow aim to give you a full-body workout to improve flexibility, and strength and release blockages in the body. And the Yin and Healing Restorative are aimed much more at releasing deep tension in the body and realigning our natural range of movement. Whichever class you attend, each posture will be guided in a relaxed, informative way,  helping you re-connect the mind, body and spirit and bring your awareness back into the body.

But we also focus on the alignment of the pose, not to create the ‘perfect’ posture, but to find the perfect posture for you at this moment, at the place you are today…….with any tightness, stiffness and chronic injuries and restrictions. This allows me to work with you from the foundation up, help you build strength, and flexibility and relieve chronic tightness and restrictions.

As a published author of Breaking the Attention to Pain and registered Yoga Elder with the International Independent Yoga Network with over 20 years of experience in teaching, I bring you a wealth of knowledge and experience to help you on your Yoga and health journey.

11 am Tuesday: Gentle Flowing Yoga:

This class is a gentle yoga class that is nourishing for both the mind and body. It is suitable for beginners and people with low flexibility or tightness. But it is also ideal for experienced practitioners who want to take a slower pace in their yoga practice. It is a gentle flow class which aims to strengthen and increase flexibility slowly. We concentrate on building core strength to help protect and heal the body, and also to help the body return to its natural range of movement. There is a large emphasis on the freedom of the breath in the body as we link each movement with the gentle flowing postures.

The class lasts 60 minutes and includes, yoga postures, breathing techniques and meditation.

13.30 Tuesday: Yin Yoga

This class is a gentle yin yoga class that is nourishing for both the mind and body. It is suitable for everyone, including people with low flexibility or tightness. It is a gentle class which aims to slowly strengthen and increase flexibility.  There is a large emphasis on the freedom of the breath in the body, as we work by understanding how our breath can help release built-up tension in the body.

Yin Yoga is a slow-moving yoga where we hold supported postures for a while to gently ease tightness and free the body of resistant scar tissue. 

The class lasts 90 minutes and includes, yin yoga postures, breathing techniques and meditation.

Thursday Yoga Classes: Villefagnan

10.30 am: Dynamic Vinyasa Yoga

This class is a dynamic class designed for people with a good level of fitness. We concentrate on building core strength to help protect and heal the body, and enhance flexibility. It is faster paced, therefore enabling us to also work aerobically as well.

Vinyasa yoga is a fast paced aerobic based yoga, that works not just your muscles but also your heart and lungs. We work through sequences of flowing postures, at times holding them for a few rounds of breath. We also incorporate breathing techniques referred to as Pranayama, to enhance our connection to our breath. 

Vinyasa Yoga is described as a 'Moving Meditation', as we always work in harmony with the breath.

This is a 90 minute class.

What do I bring?

I supply mats, blocks and cushions. Please bring a warm blanket for the end of the class when we rest in Savasana (a relaxation posture) And also water for the hotter months. We also follow pranayana (breathing techniques) in our classes, so a tissue is often handy.

14.00: Restorative Flow Yoga

This class is a gentle restorative flow yoga class that is nourishing for both the mind and body. It is suitable for everyone, including people with low flexibility or tightness. It is a gentle class which aims to slowly strengthen and increase flexibility.  There is a large emphasis on the freedom of the breath in the body, as we work by understanding how our breath can help release built-up tension in the body.

Much of the class is spent in supported postures that gently ease tension from the body but also include slow but effective strengthening movements to increase the core supportive muscles.

The class lasts 60 minutes and includes, gentle rhythmic movement, breathing techniques and meditation.

Yoga includes physical movements as well as an opportunity for relaxation, stress re-education and relief of muscular tension. Prices

60 minute classes are 8.50 euros per person or 14.00 euros per couple

90 minute classes are 10.00 euros per person or 16.00 euros per couple

After 9 classes I offer the 10th one free as a way to support your continued commitment to your growth and self-care practice. 

Also classes need to be booked online, and cancelled online. Cancellation must be a minimum of 48 hours in advance to enable other students to book the place. Full price will be charged for no-show.
